Dragon Sport by Amigo Motorsport round 3 Snetterton 2022 (4).jpeg

At Dragon Sport we are passionate about endurance racing. We aspire to have fun, develop & win whilst competing in high-level motorsport events. Through our scholarship & academy, we will
support young talent to progress in their racing career. We are future-minded & will ensure our
activities provide a positive carbon footprint.

Founded by Welshman Rhys Lloyd in 2022 Dragon Sport has grown significantly in its first year. Starting out with an Opel Astra TCR in the British Endurance Championship (BEC) with Rhys & Max behind the wheel, the team added a Renault Clio Cup Car to its roster competing in the Britcar Trophy series & ran the inaugural scholarship event to find the first academy athletes.

As the team progresses into 2023 Dragon Sport will continue to compete for the British Endurance
Championship in the Astra TCR & will add another Clio Cup Car to the team for academy drivers Jake
Hewlett & Travis Coyne whilst the first scholar, Jack Meakin will race alongside Rhys in the first Clio Cup
car in the Britcar Trophy series.

DRAGON SPORT
THE SCHOLARSHIP

The Dragon Sport Scholarship is a motorsport competition that aims to find talented racing drivers, supporting one with season racing & placing others within the team academy for ongoing support.

To be eligible to enter drivers must be over the age of 16 & have some racing experience in either Karts or Cars. All entrants will then be invited to an assessment day to drive a Renault Clio Cup car & be assessed on their driving ability, media skills & fitness levels.
